Happy late Memorial Day & Happy School is out! We celebrated at our house with a yummy celebration dinner of grilled chicken, funeral potatoes , rolls, fresh corn on the cob and an over the top homemade German Chocolate Cake (to which my children promptly replied WE HATE COCONUT, sweet little dears are going to get themselves enrolled in summer school if they don't watch out).

We "celebrated" summer at our house this morning by fixing the sprinklers!! Fun eh?? hehehe. =)

ReplyDeleteis it really summer?!! i am celebrating summer by having someone come pull the weeds in my yard so i can plant flowers and enjoy the beauty of them, weed free!

ReplyDeleteI celebrated the warm weather and summer arrival by beautifying my front yard! I've always hated yard work, but I got sick of the ugliness of my yard and made it look pretty!

ReplyDeleteWe went to a fun carnival today, and did some yard work. Plus lots of playing outside. Oh, and swimming lessons next week. Yay summer!!!

ReplyDeleteGrandpa treated all his grandchildren with lunch at McDonald's to celebrate the end of school. We hope to fill the summer days with friends and lots of fun outside.

ReplyDeleteWe usually go to Idaho a few times during the summer but this year we're taking the money and remodeling the back deck to enjoy family barbeques and to celebrate the 4th of July with family. Also to weed out the flower gardens that are really wild flowers right now (laugh).
